HopGPT (formerly Hopkins AI Lab) is a generative AI platform that uses a familiar interface to provide the Johns Hopkins University and Medicine community with secure, JHED-authenticated access to multiple Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT and Claude.
This secure environment mitigates security and privacy risks while allowing interaction with LLMs. TAG developers used an open source platform called LibreChat to build this tool.
The development process included research and ideation, prototyping, data collection, model development, testing and iteration, deployment, and ongoing support. This collaborative, iterative process ensured HopGPT emerged as a versatile and powerful tool for various applications.
